About the Role

A Hadoop and Spark Developer is required to join a leading tech firm in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Scala/Python, and a strong background in implementing data warehouses and data marts. The role demands proficiency in SQL, Unix shell scripting, and expertise in data integration, data quality, and data architecture. Knowledge of Relational and Dimensional Modeling and experience with unstructured data is also preferred. Experience in the banking domain and familiarity with Agile frameworks will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of Hadoop and Spark solutions.
Implement data warehouse and data mart systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data processing and reporting.
Work with Scala and Python for building scalable data pipelines.
Participate in the integration of unstructured data and manage data modeling efforts.
Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.
Provide expertise and support in data architecture and integration challenges.

Required Skills and Experience

6+ years of experience with Hadoop, Spark, Scala/Python.
Strong experience in data warehouse and data mart implementations.
Proficiency in SQL and Unix shell scripting.
Solid understanding of data integration, data quality, and data architecture.
Familiarity with Relational and Dimensional Modeling.
Experience working in the banking domain is a plus.
