About the Role

A leading company is seeking a Big Data Developer to architect, design, and implement scalable and efficient solutions for massive data sets. The role involves utilizing Hadoop technologies (Batch and Real-Time) to develop high-performance analytics platforms. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to build technical solutions, optimize workflows, and implement real-time streaming data solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Python, and NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or HBase. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and staying updated on emerging Big Data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable Analytics solutions on Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Spark).

• Optimize data processing workflows using Hadoop stack, including HDFS, Spark, MapReduce, Yarn, Hive, Sqoop, Impala, Hue, and Oozie.

• Implement real-time and streaming data solutions for up-to-date information delivery.

• Collaborate with teams to identify system bottlenecks and propose improvements.

• Define Big Data strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

• Stay current on Big Data technologies and industry trends.

Key Skills

• Must-have: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Python

• Preferred: NoSQL (MongoDB, HBase), UNIX/Shell scripting, Scala

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science with 8 years of experience or Master’s in Computer Science with 6 years of relevant experience.
