About the Role

An experienced Hadoop Administrator is needed to ensure the seamless operation of data infrastructure for clients. This role involves designing and deploying Big Data platforms, automating tasks, managing cluster performance, and troubleshooting Level 3 incidents in an Agile and DevOps environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new Big Data platforms.

  • Automate tasks using Shell, Python scripts, and Terraform (IAC).

  • Develop playbooks with GitLab, Ansible, and Jenkins.

  • Scale clusters up/down by adding or decommissioning nodes.

  • Set up development and test environments.

  • Install and secure Hadoop clusters.

  • Manage migrations, performance tuning, and scaling.

  • Resolve Level 3 incidents and provide support.

  • Work in Agile (Scrum) and DevOps environments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency with Hadoop distribution and its ecosystem: Hortonworks HDP/HDF, MapR & Cloudera CDP, OpenStack, Spark, Kafka.

  • Strong technical skills in Python, Shell, SQL, Scala, VS Code, MongoDB, Git/GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins, and Linux (RedHat, CentOS/Ubuntu).

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Hadoop Big Data platform administration.

  • Experience in DevOps and Agile environments.

  • Degree in engineering or technical university program.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, client-oriented approach, and excellent interpersonal skills.
